Normal Blood Pressure:
According to the American Heart Association (AHA), a normal human upper blood pressure should be between 90 and 120 and the lower blood pressure should be between 60 and 80.
When blood pressure is not in the normal range then it can be of two types, Hypertension and Hypotension.

High Blood Pressure: (Hypertension)
If a person’s systolic pressure is between 120 and 129 mm Hg and diastolic pressure is less than 80 mm Hg, it will be hypertension. High Blood Pressure can be a more worrisome condition. If systolic pressure is between 130 and 139 mm Hg and diastolic pressure is between 80 and 89 mm Hg, it will be the first stage hypertension. If systolic pressure is 140 or higher and diastolic pressure 90 or lower, it is considered to be second stage hypertension.

Symptoms of High Blood Pressure:
Symptoms of hypertension appear severe. Symptoms include:

  • Nasal bleeding
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Mental distress
  • Confusion
There are many silent symptoms of hypertension, such as obesity, obese people are more prone to hypertension. Similarly, smoking is also a cause of various diseases and excessive consumption of salt is harmful. In both cases, the risk of blood pressure is high. Excessive use of salt increase the amount of sodium in the blood and sometimes the sodium in the blood also becomes clot. Sodium affects various blood vessels that affect the blood stream. Sodium also affects the performance of our kidneys. If hypertension is not treated on time, the chances of a heart attack are also increased and the risk of other diseases such as heart failure, kidney failure, eye effects and more.

High Blood Pressure treatment:
At times, hypertension may include the following symptoms such as headache, drowsiness, and nausea and chest pain. If you have any of these symptoms, contact your doctor right way and get a blood pressure check. To control blood pressure, weight loss must be reduced first. Fresh fruits and vegetables should be used more to reduce weight and avoid fatty foods, marketed foods, fast foods and processed foods.

  • Banana is useful in controlling hypertension because banana contains high amounts of potassium. The quantity of sodium is also low in bananas, so it is best fruit for High Blood Pressure patient.


  • Yogurts also has abundance of Calcium, salt is present in low quantity in yogurt which is useful for High Blood Pressure.

  • Beetroot also help to control blood pressure and open the blood vessels.

  • Fish contains high level of protein and vitamin D. Protein and vitamins are helpful to control high blood pressure.

Low Blood Pressure: (Hypotension)
Low Blood Pressure means that blood flow is slowing down. Due to which the brain and other organs of the body do not reach the proper amount of blood. If a person’s systolic pressure is less than 90 mm Hg and diastolic pressure is less than 60 mm Hg, it will be considered as Low Blood Pressure.

Symptoms of Low Blood Pressure:
Symptoms of Low Blood Pressure include:

  • Excessive sleepiness, weakness
  • Feeling discomfort at work
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Lack of clear eyesight or blurred eyes is also a sign of Low Blood Pressure
Unbalanced diet, vitamin B and C, iron deficiency can also lower blood pressure

Low Blood Pressure treatment:

  • It is beneficial to use a little amount of salt in water for Low Blood Pressure.
  • Low Blood Pressure patients’ should drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily.
  • Eat a light weight diet periodically.
  • Use the appropriate amount of dried fruits.
  • You should not get up immediately after taking a nap or sleep, but rather stay awake for sometimes and get up.
  • Walk at least 30 minutes daily to avoid all illness. Physical exercise moderates blood pressure.
Factors such as mental pressure and anger can accelerate blood flow and can be fatal. Avoid negative thoughts and stop worrying to avoiding blood pressure disorder.
